This is Michelin starred quality…

This is the best most inventive meal I have had since an excellent dinner at the Michelin star Oxford Kitchen. We pigged out on 7 sharing plates and three desserts and can hardly walk. Each was perfectly made and presented, challenging out taste buds. Most dishes are gluten free too. The wine list could be more extensive but we found a very pleasant Folle Blanche (Picpoul to Most of us) and a Gassac rosé. The combinations of flavours were awesome. Service outstanding. And the coffee is seriously good.”

Another fantastic evening at Truly’s…

My first evening experience at Truly's was so good I wasn't sure it could be repeated. However, this restaurant and team just keep on delivering. The menu changes monthly so there are always lots of dishes to try. This time there were 4 in our party so we were able to order a big selection of the dishes on offer. At the end we were discussing our favourite dishes but it was hard to pick a clear winner. I think the beef and the scallops seemed to edge ahead though. I had the cheese to finish and the selection was really interesting.

Lauren and her team are wonderful, Tasha was working on Thursday and she is a delight.

I have also been for the Sunday lunch and once people realise how good that is it will be difficult to get a table.

Top night Team Truly's - thank you x”

Delicious food and wine both intrigues and delights...

We came for dinner a few nights ago, I had been told beforehand it was tapas (or tapas style) so was expecting tasting plates but not the high quality of tasting plates we got. It had more in line with a degustation menu than 'tapas' such was the quality.

Delicious rosemary-infused almonds and homemade bread and hummus to start, then plate after plate of well executed but just as importantly, well thought-out food came our way. To complement we had delicious wine - a small wine list but expertly selected from what we tried.

Particular highlights were the camembert mousse, the pork belly and the matcha (green tea) cheesecake - but all the dishes were interesting and made your tastebuds and your brain have a little work out trying to decipher it all. That to me is a rare event and I can only commend the chef for his skill and ingenuity.

Service was also excellent, attentive but not too attentive. Pricewise, very reasonable for the level of quality on offer.

Overall, a delightful evening and one I think will live long in the memory. Thanks to Lauren and her team for a lovely evening and wish you all every success - you deserve it on this evidence. Highly recommended to any foodie out there.”

Amazing Sunday Roast...

What a fantastic place!! Our Sunday lunch was amazing and great value. Some Sunday roasts out can be a bit disappointing, but this was far from it with lovely touches like maple glazed carrots and roast potatoes that you’ll want to order more of (we did!). All accompanied by fantastic wine and a stunning cheese board to finish. A relatively new restaurant in Westbourne, a spot you must visit if in the area, and we will definitely be back to try the evening menu.”

“Lovely new restaurant in Westbourne. Awesome food & smooth, tasty wines. Laid back atmosphere & attentive staff. The homemade bread was divine, as were the scallops, beef & Camembert mousse dishes. The rhubarb & raspberry crumble was the perfect finish. So many flavour combinations to make you want more. The menu changes monthly, which is a great way to keep people coming back for more!

Just what Westbourne needed...

Great new restaurant with wonderful food and a relaxing, friendly atmosphere. Everything on the menu is exceptional and you must try the Sunday roasts.

Gluten free and vegetarian options are available and the food and drink is reasonably priced.

Well worth a visit, we will definitely return.”

Amazing food, great ambience - we will be back!...

Four of us popped in for dinner between Christmas and NYE. Between us we ordered most of the menu - there wasn't anything on the menu that didn't sound amazing and the prices are so good it means you can really make the most of it and try lots of plates (and the freshly baked bread is a MUST!). We also loved the fact meat eaters and veggies/vegans all had lots of choice - which is so rare! The restaurant itself is decorated beautifully and the candle lit room makes for a great atmosphere...perfect for casual dinners, dates, dinner with friends and family. The wine was so good we ended up ordering 3 bottles! Service was really friendly, relaxed and seamless. We were really impressed - this is a perfect example of why it's so important to support independent places like this in a town full of chains...which are so incredibly bland in comparison. We plan to go back with friends in a couple of weeks to try the January menu!”
